추락한 경비행기에 탑승한 것으로 알려진 아르헨티나 축구선수 에밀리아노 살라의 시신이 확인됐다고 영국 경찰이 7일(현지시각) 밝혔다.
영국 경찰은 추락한 경비행기 잔해에서 수습한 시신이 살라가 맞다고 발표했다. 살라는 지난 22일 경비행기를 타고 도버해협을 비행하던 중 실종됐다.
살라는 전 소속팀인 프랑스 낭트를 떠나 새로 계약한 잉글리시 프리미어 리그 카디프시티 합류를 위해 이동하다 사고를 당했다.
전 소속팀 낭트는 살라의 이적료 1500만파운드(218억원)를 카디프시티 측에 요구하고 있어 법적 분쟁으로 이어질 것으로 보인다.
